Job Context:
∎ CONTRACT PERIOD: Up to 31 December 2023, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funding.
∎ LINE MANAGER: Head of Programmes
∎ STAFF MANAGES: Project Coordinator and Technical Officer
∎ OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
∎ DCA (DanChurchAid) is a Danish humanitarian, non-government and non-profit organisation working in Bangladesh since 1971. DCA (DanChurchAid) is a faith-based, non-missionary organization. We work for the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded communities and believe in life before death.
∎ The Programme Manager will be responsible to lead all the program activity of WFP project, provide guidance to Technical Officer and Community Mobilizer, h/she will serve as a focal point for this project with sector, carry collaboration and coordination with the government officials. The Programme Manager will coordinate to collect related information from the working location and prepare routine reports. The position requires a clear understanding on Rohingya Crisis, Camp situation, Project management & implementation, People management, Liaison with the Government wings and stakeholders. S/he must have clear understanding on the Project management, Capacity building, CBT distribution, and conducting training & sessions. S/he will maintain coordination with the project team, Finance, Admin, M&E, and other stakeholders. The Programme Manager needs to move to the camp and field offices by using project vehicle from the Cox`s Bazar.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Management:
∎ Lead the WFP agriculture & Homestead gardening project
∎ Ensure project goals and impacts are achieved through effective and efficient project management
∎ Track the project activities according to agreement and plan
∎ Manage the project through strong leadership and encourage, support, coach, and mentor the project team, ensuring capacity is built and appropriate results are attained
∎ Ensure impactful deliverables while meeting the donor requirements
∎ Financial Management:
∎ Overall responsibility for financial management including development of quarterly and annual budgets, monthly accounting, and quarterly reporting in line with the DCA processes and guidelines and reporting to the donor
∎ Ensure and monitor the allocation of resources in the most efficient and cost-effective way while aiming for the highest quality of implementation
∎ Monitor on monthly basis actual expenditures and compare them with the implementation model, and budget requirements, and review the budget if needed with the Finance team and other stakeholders who are implementing the project
∎ Ensure compliance with DCA, specific donors and the Government of Bangladesh
∎ Documentation and Reporting:
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and other programme reports and document in time aligning with project design and donor requirements
∎ Develop reports as and when required
∎ Maintain database management in Horizon for Project as per requirement
∎ Capture evidence of good practices on a regular basis
∎ Team Building and Team Management:
∎ Maintain interpersonal communication in the team and within organization
∎ Strengthening team member's knowledge, capacity and developing successor of the team
∎ Plan and supervise the team effectively and provide needful guidance
∎ General:
∎ Ready to work to respond to any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars, and workshops as per needs of the program
∎ Participate in the GO/NGO coordination meetings at different levels
∎ Any other specific task assigned by the supervisor

∎ This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast-paced environment
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required
∎ Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently
∎ Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication skills in Bengali and advance communication skills in English required
∎ The candidate must have a personal commitment to social equity and equal rights and opportunities and adhere to the staff policies of DCA on Sexual Harassment and Anti-Corruption, values and the Code of Conduct
