∎ Master’s degree in Sociology, Development Studies, Communications or any other discipline.

∎ 8 to 10 years of experience in Knowledge management, communications, media engagement, donor reporting and event management.
∎ Similar experience in USAID Funded project is highly preferable
∎ Significant experience in collaboration among different components of a project or many projects as a part of a core team member of an organization.
∎ Highly analytical with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
∎ Proficient skills in reporting and presentation in English is mandatory.
∎ The ability to meet deadlines under pressure, build consensus and work successfully with diverse stakeholders.
∎ Desirable knowledge of youth programming
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills. CARE core competencies as noted below
∎ Computer proficiency in MS word, MS-Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe premiere and Adobe Illustrator
∎ PR management skills, management and mentorship skills.

∎ CARE Bangladesh, a non-profit international development organization is implementing USAID Bijoyee Activity, a five-year’s project with a consortium of youth-led and youth serving organizations funded by the USAID. It aims to empower youth not in education, employment, or training (NEET) particularly young women and socially marginalized young people, by equipping them with market-oriented soft and life skills, resources and social capital for green and gainful employment and greater social and environmental impact. Strengthening youth ecosystem, organizational development support to national and grassroots youth organizations, incubation and start-up support to young entrepreneurs, youth inclusive policies and planning are some examples of key interventions of Bijoyee to be implemented in urban/ per-urban areas in five hubs encompassing eighteen districts. The Department of Youth Development (DYD) and relevant govt. and private sector organizations are the strategic partners of this project.

∎ CARE is hiring a Lead - Knowledge Management & Communication for the Bijoyee project, based in Dhaka and reporting to the DCoP. The role involves leading the development of a Learning Agenda aligned with USAID and CARE2030 priorities, ensuring high-quality learning products and communications, effective knowledge management, and enhanced visibility for Bijoyee. Responsibilities include designing MEL events to address learning questions, generating evidence, producing communication materials, and managing documentation. The Lead will develop a Knowledge Management and Communication Plan aligned with USAID and CARE strategies, introduce systems for continuous improvement, and support Bijoyee’s Collaboration Learning and Adaptation (CLA) framework and branding efforts.
∎ The incumbent will work closely with the project management unit, hub teams, and consortium members, focusing on capacity building and enhancing KML and communication processes. They will ensure knowledge and communication products are effectively designed, shared, and disseminated. The position will also work closely with the MEL Coordinator to ensure alignment in capturing learning and knowledge of the project. S/he will be responsible and accountable for the skill development of subordinate staff, partner organizations, and their staff in knowledge management and communications.
