About the Project:
The Reintegration of Migrant Workers in Bangladesh is a four-year initiative supported by Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh to support Bangladeshi migrant workers successfully rebuild their lives after returning home. Implemented across 08 migration-prone districts in Bangladesh- Barishal, Chattagram, Cumilla, Faridpur, Munshiganj, Narsingdi, Noakhali, Tangail, the project provides counselling, skills development, and referral services through dedicated Migration and Reintegration Support Centres (MRSCs). The initiative aims to strengthen economic opportunities, social stability, and community resilience for returnee migrants. The project ends in November 2026.
About the role:
The position is responsible for coordinating all field-level activities related to the socio-economic reintegration of returnee migrants. This includes directly supervising Field Organizers across assigned upazilas to ensure quality implementation, providing structured capacity-building support through issue-based training, workshops, and meetings, and maintaining accurate documentation, MIS updates, and periodic reporting in line with project requirements. The role also requires proactive engagement and timely communication with local stakeholders—such as duty bearers, Local Government Institutions, media representatives, returnee migrant forums, and other relevant organizations—to strengthen advocacy, collaboration, and service linkages, ensuring the effective and sustainable delivery of programme interventions at the community level.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support Field Organizers under the assigned Migration & Reintegration Support Center, providing continuous technical guidance.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, facilitate activities on-site, and take practical actions to achieve targeted project outcomes.
Lead the volunteer selection, strengthen their capacity through structured orientation and mentoring, guide them in activity implementation, and develop and maintain an updated volunteer database.
Plan and organize local-level training sessions, meetings, and workshops, and participate in field visits to ensure effective execution and follow-up.
Coordinate the returnee profiling process, ensure timely follow-up, and develop and manage the online database with accurate and up-to-date information.
Establish linkages with local industries, institutions, and relevant projects to facilitate employment and job placement opportunities for returnee migrants.
Identify and document best practices and case stories, and prepare quality periodic reports, activity updates, and MIS in line with project requirements.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
