Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, standard protocols, values, and universal hygiene standards to improve the beneficiaries’ health conditions.

• Explain medical procedures to the patients/ beneficiaries as well as establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

• Assist the patients in understanding their condition, medication with dose intervals and other doctors’ recommendations as well as teaching patients, friends, and family to understand self-care skills, answering questions.

• Assisting Medical Doctor in conducting health examination, including history taking, measurement, treatment, medication management and dispensing, immunization and collating medical reports

• Guide and assist Support Staff in patient triage, infection control and prevention, patient counseling, cleanliness, etc.

• Maintain a daily checklist of all medical and delivery equipment and medicines to ensure that all medical kits are ready and fully stocked, with all medical supplies organized, listed, and within the expiration period

• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques

• Documents patient care services by updating the patient register and submitting a daily report to the Friendship MIS System.

• Assist the doctor in identifying priority health needs and other activities, including updating the daily reporting format, taking part in the health awareness campaigns, etc.

• Assist in medicine dispensing, record keeping, medicine stock management, reporting, and preparing medicine requisitions.

• Strictly adhere to the Friendship code of conduct and standard

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Educational/Competencies (Specifications):

•       B.Sc. in Nursing (recognized & registered by BNMC).

•       Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a health project.

•       Honest and high level of integrity
