Experience:

• At least 2 years

• Higher Secondary/Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.

• At least 2 years

• Age At most 30 years

• At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization or grassroots advocacy.

• Strong understanding of child marriage issues and gender dynamics in Bangladesh.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and networking skills.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

Additional Requirements

• Should have skills of report writing in English & Bangla

• Should have sound knowledge in IT operation.

• Computer skills on Microsoft Office Package.

1. Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) is going to recruit the following positions for the project of `` Empowering girls and combating child marriages in Kurigram, Bangladesh under Women Initiatives for Community Development (W4CD)” Project at Kurigram District supported by ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB

Job Responsibilities

1. Community Engagement:
2. Organize and facilitate community meetings, dialogue sessions, and awareness campaigns on the impacts of child marriage.
3. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, religious leaders, parents, and other key stakeholders.
4. Strengthen community protection groups and networks to support the prevention of child marriage.
5. Capacity Building:
6. Provide training and support to adolescent clubs, self-help groups, and community-based protection groups.
7. Promote skill development and income-generating activities among adolescent girls at risk of child marriage.
8. Monitoring and Reporting:
9. Collect and report data on community engagement activities and their impact on reducing child marriage.
10. Prepare and submit regular reports on community mobilization efforts to the Programme Officer.
11. Advocacy:
12. Advocate with local authorities and government representatives to increase their responsiveness to child marriage issues.
13. Participate in public events and campaigns to raise awareness about child marriage and promote gender equity.
