Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide the target population with information and education about mental health and the mental health system in general through awareness-raising and sensitization sessions.
∎ Identify and assess clients’ needs and mental health status and follow organization policy in order to assist.
∎ Complete need-based client assessment and develop a service plan. Assist the target beneficiaries and their family/carers in accessing appropriate referral services as suggested by the district-specific Community Mental Health Care Plan.
∎ Organize individual and group psychosocial support sessions for individuals and families having persons with psychosocial disabilities and mental illnesses.
∎ Support individuals and family carers in identifying areas of need and goal development, ensuring goals are attainable and time specific, and that the client plays an integral role in the decision-making process.
∎ Evaluate client progress and effectiveness of the service plan. Participate in client case reviews with other service providers.
∎ Provide crisis management and linkage to crisis intervention services as needed.
∎ Represent the Program through community outreach and everyday interactions with other community resources, such as community clinics, hospitals, schools, colleges, ward committees, self-help groups, etc..
∎ Maintain proper documentation and data records related to project activities as defined in the project management and reporting plan.
∎ Maintain adequate confidentiality and discipline in client case management and data recording procedures.
∎ Attend regular supervision and debrief sessions and submit weekly/monthly reports as mandated by the project managers.
∎ Frequently participate in suggested workshops / trainings / seminars to improve knowledge and performance level and for completion of set objective of the program according to the organization’s needs.
∎ Participate in regular field visits and completion of training specific and other field assignments in a timely manner.
∎ Be flexible in supporting others and organizational needs in terms of emergency or urgent needs as and when required.
∎ Must maintain regular communication with authorized coordinators and senior personnel for information and guidelines with regard to any kind of client services.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Well-developed Bangla verbal and written communication skills in order to develop a professional and efficient relationship with relevant stakeholders
∎ Basic understanding of the local context and community stakeholders is essential
∎ Interpersonal skills to connect with others and develop rapport with relevant personnel
∎ Passion to help and support vulnerable individuals
∎ The ability to listen, encourage and build confidence
∎ Observation and problem-solving skills
∎ The ability to work with opposite gender staff and clients
∎ Decision-making skills and the ability to organize and plan your workload
∎ Enthusiasm, sensitivity and patience to deal with a range of needs
Salary: Tk. 18000 - 21000 (Monthly)
