Job Responsibilities:

∎ The key activities include: health and hygiene messaging, nutrition screening, disease surveillance, mortality and live birth surveillance, antenatal care and postnatal care (ANC/PNC) household visits, follow up of pregnant women, including encouragement of facility delivery, referrals and clinic follow ups. Additionally, the CHW program encompasses community psychosocial volunteers (CPVs) who deliver mental wellbeing community workshops, lead peer groups, identify and refer patients, supervised by MHPSS Coordinators and other medical staff. This program is an essential link between the health facilities and the Rohingya communities and leaders.
∎ CHW / CPW also act an important role in case of emergency, including natural disaster or man-made disaster. They would react as a first responder, providing first aid or psychological first aid (PFA), appropriate community mobilization, as well as they are expected to strengthen the resilience of the community.
∎ The purpose of the CH Supervisor is to ensure the implementation of CHW/CPW activities according to JRRP needs. The position shall be responsible for specific coordination within a designated JRRP catchment area (organized by Camp) in addition to general CHW program responsibilities and representation. The job holder will carry out appropriate roles and responsibilities in close collaboration with the Senior CHW Supervisor, Clinic Leads, Psychologists, Field Administration Officers, as well as external stakeholders.
∎ Key Result #1: Leadership coordination across all JRRP areas of operation between the health facilities and the surrounding community catchment areas
∎ Plan and implement CHW programming within the designated camp, in close coordination with close consultation and coordination with clinic staff and the supervisors.
∎ Conduct regular CHW team meetings by camp, checking in frequently with CHW Facilitators/Supervisors and Team Leaders;
∎ Collaborate with Field Operations and logistics while coordinating project needs, to ensure supplies are maintained and strategically managed;
∎ Ensure appropriate duty of care provisions are in place for all staff and visitors, with particular attention paid to security concerns;
∎ Represent the organization both internally and externally concerning community health issues, ensuring its good public image and the alignment with the humanitarian response;
∎ Attend relevant coordination meetings (CHW Working Group, EPI/Contact Tracing, camp management, facility-based health committee meeting etc.) as necessary;
∎ Communicate with the local Rohingya community leaders (e.g. mahjis, imams), traditional birth attendant (TBA) on key health messaging and activities;
∎ Facilitate external engagement activities such as radio listening groups, contact tracing, language focus group testing, or public arts initiatives.
∎ Performing covid19 or other outbreak related activities across the camps.
∎ Performing any tasks assigned by Supervisor/Department Head
∎ Key Result #2: Support the day-to-day training, coaching, and capacity building of CHWs/CPVs
∎ Ensure the proper recruitment, orientation, training, development, and care of all of new CHWs/CPVs, as necessary;
∎ Accountability
∎ Randomized spot checks of CHW home visits, Team Leader ledgers
∎ Re-develop and implement CHW community satisfaction surveys, and make a report in a timely manner
∎ Attend relevant external and internal trainings in order to reproduce learnings at the field level;
∎ Provide leadership and people management in managing and bridging different ways of working and diverse working cultures within the teams;
∎ Support direct reports in upholding organization values and ethics by all team members and identifying any possible issue regarding this matter;
∎ Keep abreast of environmental, economic, social, political, and religious conditions in the field, and report on such conditions as needed.
∎ Key Result #3: Quality Improvement and Assurance
∎ Reporting - submitting reports and data in a timely manner to relevant department etc.
∎ Monitoring
∎ To review the report and indicators with Supervisors including Senior CH Supervisors, and make an analysis.
∎ Based on the analysis, to come up with the appropriate next plan and implement.
∎ Active consultation – whenever possible, to seek for technical expertise, such as clinic staff or HPM, PSO.
∎ To update your knowledge and skill actively, so that you could contribute to the program.
