Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 7 institutions and 15 donor funded projects.
∎ DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Team Leader of "Prioritized HIV Prevention and Treatment Services for Key Population in Bangladesh" Project implemented by Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), funded by Global fund and principal recipient by Save the Children.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support to targeted project participants regarding COVID-19 issue.
∎ Psychosocial and Psychosexual (Mental health) counseling resulting from COVID-19 pandemic for targeted project participants and COVID-19 positive clients.
∎ He/she will be responsible for overall case management of COVID-19, provide mental health support for conditions like depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment problems, and networking with COVID-19 supported hospitals.
∎ Providing clear information about COVID-19 (corona virus) among the project participants at the grass root level.
∎ Provide counselling on Gender Based Violence (GBV), Human Rights Violation (HRV), STD to targeted project participants that have been aggravated during COVID-19 time.
∎ To raise awareness about the risk COVID-19 (corona virus) among MSM and transgender population.
∎ Referral counselling to Government/Private service organizations for COVID-19 testing and vaccination program.
∎ Provide counselling services to the targeted project participants about proper hygiene practice during COVID-19.
∎ Performing transcription and conversion work during counselling, if needed.
∎ Preparation of counseling reports in regular basis and submit to the Supervisor.
∎ Provide support in monitoring the quality-of-service delivery and ensure appropriate steps are taken to enhance the quality-of-service delivery.
∎ Evaluate the qualitative and quantitative achievements as per work plan in accordance with the organizational Mission / Goals.
∎ Provide counselling training to the services providers (PE, OS, MA, service centers focal).
∎ Assist program personnel of the project in case studies and success stories.
∎ Coordinate and update the management of the organization/ project focal on the progress made and challenges faced.
∎ Any other task assigned by Supervisor/management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Experience in counseling minimum 2 (two) years.
∎ Experience with national level NGO in counseling will get preference.
∎ Knowledge on HIV/AIDs, most-at-risk populations, key population will be an added advantage.
∎ Ability to write/produce reports.
∎ Ability to work under pressure & meet close deadlines.
∎ Knowledge on counseling of sexual and gender diverse groups will get preference.
∎ Influencing & persuasion skill.
∎ Knowledge of organizational learning, development and organizational behavior.
∎ Fluent in English and local language.
∎ Applicants must have COVID 19 vaccination certificate.
Salary: Tk. 37410 (Monthly)
