∎ Knowledge of media relations practices and experience pitching stories to journalists.

∎ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Communication Officer who will be responsible for overall communication, documentation and knowledge including content development, report writing, Story writing, media communication, documentation of programme process and learnings.
∎ Content Creation: Develop engaging and compelling content for a variety of communication channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, and website content. Ensure that content aligns with the organization's brand voice and messaging objectives.
∎ Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure media coverage for our organization. Pitch story ideas, coordinate interviews, and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
∎ Internal Communication: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged. Create internal newsletters, announcements, and other materials to share updates, achievements, and organizational news.
∎ External Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for external communication efforts, including responding to inquiries from the public, stakeholders, and partners. Coordinate external communication campaigns and initiatives to promote our organization's mission and objectives.
∎ Digital Communication: Manage the organization's digital communication channels, including social media platforms, website content, and email newsletters. Develop content calendars, monitor engagement metrics, and respond to comments and messages to maintain an active and positive online presence.
∎ Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks. Serve as a spokesperson for the organization during crisis situations, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders and the media.
∎ Brand Management: Ensure consistency and integrity of the organization's brand across all communication channels. Develop brand guidelines, templates, and messaging frameworks to maintain brand identity and reputation.
∎ Event Communication: Provide communication support for organizational events, conferences, and public engagements. Develop event materials, coordinate media coverage, and promote events through various channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
∎ Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, fundraising, programmatic, and executive leadership, to align communication efforts with organizational goals and priorities. Provide communication support and guidance as needed to support cross-functional initiatives.
∎ Publication & Collateral: To ensure high quality production in every types of printing materials.
