Responsibilities & Context:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes as directed by the Chef de Partie.
- Ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards, including correct portion sizes and presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of sauces, vegetables, meats, and other components of meals.
- Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized, maintaining all workstations and equipment.
- Assist in monitoring and managing stock levels, notifying senior chefs of any shortages or issues.
- Help with stock rotation, ensuring all food items are used before expiration.
- Support team members in all aspects of kitchen operations.
