We are looking for an experienced and responsible Commercial Manager to lead our commercial operations and ensure smooth coordination across Import, Export, LC, Banking, Customs, Shipping and Commercial Documentation.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized and capable of taking ownership of commercial activities while effectively coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the overall Commercial Department and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

• Handle Import, Export, LC, Back-to-Back LC, TT, Banking, Shipping and Customs-related activities.

• Manage commercial documentation for raw materials, machinery, packaging materials and other imported/exported goods.

• Coordinate with Banks, Suppliers, Buyers, C&F Agents, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines and relevant authorities.

• Prepare, review and maintain LC, Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, EXP/IMP, Bill of Entry and other commercial documents.

• Monitor shipments from LC opening and shipment planning through customs clearance and final delivery.

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all commercial activities and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Bangladesh Bank, Customs, VAT and Import-Export regulations.

• Coordinate with Procurement, Accounts & Finance, Production, Merchandising, Sales and Management.

• Follow up on LC opening, amendments, retirement, payment schedules and supplier-related commercial matters.

• Identify and resolve commercial, documentation, shipment and customs-related issues efficiently.

• Maintain proper records of all commercial transactions, shipments, LCs and related documents.

• Prepare regular commercial and shipment status reports for Management.

• Lead and guide the commercial team to ensure productivity, accuracy and accountability.

• Maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers, banks, C&F agents, freight forwarders and other stakeholders.

• Perform other commercial responsibilities assigned by the Management.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Import & Export, LC, Back-to-Back LC and Banking procedures.

• Good understanding of Customs, C&F, Shipping and Freight Forwarding operations.

• Knowledge of relevant Bangladesh Bank, Customs, VAT and Import-Export regulations.

• Strong communication, negotiation and coordination skills.

• Good leadership, team management and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up and time-management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.

• Good command of Bangla and English.

• Proactive mindset with strong ownership, integrity and accountability.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline.

• Professional training or certification in Commercial, Import-Export, Supply Chain or International Trade will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Commercial / Import-Export / Supply Chain functions.

• Experience in the Printing, Packaging, Packaging Accessories or Manufacturing Industry will be highly preferred.

• Hands-on experience in LC, Import-Export, Banking, Customs and Shipping Operations is required.
