Experience:
Strong understanding of import-export procedures, commercial documentation, customs and bonded warehouse operations.
Practical knowledge of LC, export documentation, shipping procedures, banking formalities, and customs clearance processes.
Familiarity with the activities and procedures of BIDA, CCI&E, NBR/Customs, EPB, Bangladesh Bank, and other relevant authorities.
Strong follow-up, coordination, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict documentation and shipment deadlines.
Possess sound knowledge and practical experience in commercial and international trade documentation, including PI, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Detailed Packing List, Certificate of Origin (CO), GSP, Bill of Lading (B/L), LC, Sales Contract (SC), UP, UD, Bill of Entry (BE), Delivery Order (DO), Stuffing Advice, IGM, EGM, and other relevant import-export documents.
Prepare, collect, verify, and submit commercial bills, invoices, and supporting documents to shipping lines, C&F agents, freight forwarders, banks, and other relevant parties within the required timelines.
Prepare and process commercial and export-import documentation in accordance with company requirements, applicable laws, customs procedures, and international trade practices.
Follow up on the preparation, issuance, collection, and submission of PI, Invoice, Packing List, Detailed Packing List, CO, GSP, B/L, LC, SC, UP, UD, BE, DO, Stuffing Advice, IGM, EGM, and related documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
Carefully review all commercial and shipping documents and identify any discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies, taking necessary corrective measures in coordination with the concerned parties.
Coordinate effectively with internal departments, shipping lines, freight forwarders, C&F agents, banks, Customs, Bond authorities, and other government and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth and timely completion of commercial activities.
Maintain regular communication and follow-up with relevant authorities and competent departments regarding documentation status, approvals, certificates, customs formalities, and other regulatory requirements.
Liaise with banks regarding export proceeds realization, LC-related matters, document processing, certificates, and other banking requirements, while maintaining proper records and follow-up.
Handle and monitor day-to-day import and export commercial operations, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and company procedures.
Coordinate with Customs, Bond, C&F Agents, banks, shipping lines, freight forwarders, BIDA, CCI&E, NBR, EPB, and other relevant government and regulatory authorities as required.
Maintain proper records of commercial documents, correspondence, approvals, certificates, and transactions for audit, compliance, and future reference.
Ensure timely collection and submission of UD/UP and other export-import related documents, and maintain proper documentation trails.
Perform any other commercial, documentation, compliance, and related responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
