Taiba Saifullah Group is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented Dy. Manager / Manager – Commercial to manage and coordinate commercial activities related to Coal, Wheat, Fertilizer, and other Trading Businesses.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of bulk commodity and fertilizer import, LC, banking, shipping, customs, port operations, and applicable import/trade regulations. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth and timely execution of import and commercial transactions from LC opening through shipment, customs clearance, and final settlement.
Manage day-to-day Import & Commercial Operations, including LC opening, amendment, document processing, retirement, and settlement.
Handle Sight, Deferred/Usance, UPAS LC, Advance TT, Documentary Collection, CAQ, CAD, and other applicable import-related trade instruments.
Prepare, scrutinize, and verify PI, LC Draft, Final LC, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, HS Code, Certificates, and other import/shipping documents.
Maintain LC statements, LC-wise shipment and payment records, outstanding liabilities, and import transaction status.
Prepare and review Import Costing, including product cost, freight, insurance, customs duty, taxes, port charges, C&F charges, and other related expenses.
Maintain practical working knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, import regulations, customs procedures, and applicable trade requirements.
Handle LOI, bank document endorsement, document retirement/release, and submission of documents to C&F agents for customs clearance.
Coordinate with banks regarding LC opening/amendment, document discrepancies, acceptance, payment, LATR, post-import finance, and settlement.
Coordinate with foreign suppliers, banks, insurance companies, shipping lines, freight forwarders, C&F agents, customs authorities, and port authorities.
Monitor customs assessment, duty/tax calculation, payment, clearance, port handling, and delivery of imported consignments.
Ensure timely collection of shipping documents from banks and proper endorsement and handover to the concerned C&F agents.
Handle commercial licenses, certificates, registrations, renewals, and regulatory approvals related to import and trading operations.
Maintain proper records and preservation of all LC, banking, import, shipping, customs, and commercial documents.
Ensure compliance with applicable banking, customs, import, trade, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate effectively with Finance, Accounts, SCM, Insurance, and C&F teams for smooth execution of commercial activities.
Supervise and guide the commercial team, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Monitor shipment schedules and proactively coordinate with relevant parties to minimize demurrage, detention, port charges, document delays, and other avoidable costs.
Prepare regular commercial status reports, LC position reports, shipment updates, import-cost statements, and management reports as required.
Perform any other commercial and import-related responsibilities assigned by Management.
