Responsibilities & Context:

The incumbent to be responsible for:

  •  Maintain relationships with clients and address commercial inquiries.

  • Draft, review, and monitor commercial agreements.

  • Resolve issues related to shipments, inventory, or customer orders.

  • Ensure proper HS code for timely clearance from customs and save additional cost.

  • Maintain accurate commercial records and databases.

  • Ensure proper documentation for invoices, purchase orders, and contracts.

  • Maintain proper correspondents with banks, shipping lines, freight forwarders, C&F agents etc. 

  • Preparation of Bank Guarantee, N.O.C from bond customs if required and release the import consignment.

  • Support to the import L/C (Foreign & Local), bank acceptance, fund arrangement, liaison with the bank for import payment, handling insurance, and cooperation with transportation.   

  • Co-operate with suppliers (Local & Foreign) for shipment schedule and timely shipment-related information.

  • Stay updated on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and international trade agreements.

  • Preparation and maintenance of import documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

  • Ensure preparing and renewal all kind of Commercial related Certificates from government authorities.

  • To manage VAT, TAX rules related to Import policies and L/C processing, SRO.

  • To maintain liaison with customs, port authority, shipping agent, bank, insurance companies and other related government officials.

  • Manage import operations from purchase order to final delivery.

  • Prepare and verify import documents, including LC, PI, invoice, packing list, B/L, and customs documentation.

  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams for smooth operations.

  • Maintain accurate import records and prepare commercial reports.

  • Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to optimize cost and delivery terms.

  • Resolve import-related issues and perform other commercial duties.

  • Any other assignment not detailed herein & felt conducive by Management as and when necessary.
