Experience:
Manage end-to-end import activities related to Chemicals, Dyes & Accessories, from order placement and LC opening through shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery.
Prepare, verify, and maintain all necessary import-related documentation, including Proforma Invoice (PI), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, insurance documents, and other required documents.
Coordinate with banks for Letter of Credit (LC) opening, amendment, negotiation, and settlement in accordance with company requirements and applicable regulations.
Arrange and monitor marine/cargo insurance for imported materials and ensure proper documentation and coverage.
Ensure all required licenses, permits, certificates, and regulatory approvals are obtained and maintained within the required timelines.
Coordinate with suppliers, banks, C&F agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and relevant government authorities to ensure smooth import operations.
Monitor shipment schedules, vessel arrival, document receipt, customs procedures, and clearance status to minimize delays.
Coordinate with C&F agents to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery of imported Chemicals, Dyes & Accessories.
Ensure compliance with applicable customs, import, environmental, safety, and other regulatory requirements related to imported materials.
Verify import documents and commercial terms to ensure accuracy and consistency with LC requirements, purchase orders, and company policies.
Maintain proper records of LCs, import documents, shipments, customs clearance, insurance, licenses, and regulatory approvals for audit and reporting purposes.
Follow up with concerned departments regarding material requirements, shipment priorities, and delivery schedules.
Identify and resolve documentation, shipment, LC, customs, or clearance-related issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Prepare regular import status reports, shipment updates, and pending-issue reports for management.
Ensure all import activities are completed within the required timeline, cost parameters, and compliance standards.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and complete import-related records and documentation.
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted availability of imported Chemicals, Dyes & Accessories for production and operational requirements.
