Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment in the "Effort for Orphan Children Development (EOCD)" Project, with financial partnership of Penny Appeal in Debhata Upazila located in Satkhira districts of Bangladesh. The goal of the project is to "By 2021, all targeted orphan children in the selected areas of Satkhira district live in an improved, secure and supportive environment that is conducive to orphan child growth and development".
∎ Job Location-Debhata Upazila of Satkhira District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Child Protection officer, based at Upazila level is responsible for
∎ i) Child Protection and Safe guarding committee (CPSC) formation
∎ ii) Organize training of CPSC members
∎ iii) Prepare module for training on child protection related issues
∎ iv) Conduct CPSC meeting
∎ v) Prepare documents (Quarterly & Annual Report and other supporting documents)
∎ vii) Keep communication with Child protection officer (Donor part)
∎ viii) Follow up awareness session conducted by CPSC members
Additional Requirements:
∎ Have good understanding of Child Protection & Safeguarding issues
∎ Resides in the Upazila level
∎ More than 3 years' experience in development projects/ multi-sect oral projects Specially child protection related issues
∎ More than 3 year(s) of experience in dealing with children both at individual, family, societal, community and system levels, establishing community-based child protection system, supporting children during their needs, handling child safeguarding cases and children in risks, ensuring support services for children, conducting child condition assessment and others.
∎ Good understanding of Bangla and basic English Language
∎ Capacity to handle community people and write reports
∎ Good communication and facilitation capacity
∎ Have to ride motor cycle with valid driving license
∎ Priority would be given who have an international passport
Salary: Tk. 37000 (Monthly)
