  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a guest house or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to create visually appealing dishes.
  • Proficient in maintaining kitchen & guest house hygiene and following food safety standards.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in culinary arts or a related field is a plus.


Responsibilities & Context:

The responsibility of this position is to prepare and cook Asian, Thai and Continental food, manage inventory, and ensure adherence to food safety standards. Oversee kitchen cleanliness, monitor equipment, and maintain organization. Adapt to changing needs and interact professionally with guests and office employees for optimal satisfaction.

  • Prepare and cook diverse meals according to established menus and dietary requirements with the assistance of the assistant cook.

  • Plan daily menus to ensure variety and freshness of ingredients, following the FIFO method.

  • Manage inventory and procure groceries cost effectively, maintaining separate supplies for office employees and the guest house.

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards as per JTI EHS policies.

  • Provide top supplies for guests and maintain cleanliness with support from the Guest House Cleaner.

  • Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning, report maintenance needs, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.

  • Adapt to changing requirements, contribute ideas to enhance culinary offerings, and communicate effectively with guests to understand and meet their needs.

  • Uphold a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and office employees.
