Job Context:
∎ Location: Based in Camps
∎ Contract Duration: The duration of the proposed contract is up to June 30, 2020.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Provide quality and timely case management services:
∎ Provide age-appropriate case management to survivors of GBV, including assessment of survivor's needs; basic crisis counselling; supporting survivor's in developing a plan to address their individual needs and safely implementing this plan; support to clients in pursuing services from other service providers as per survivor's wishes
∎ Provide services to adolescent girl survivors of GBV, including case management, age appropriate engagement and decision-making by survivors, Do No Harm analysis, and safety planning
∎ Provide group psychosocial support to women and girls; facilitate sessions focused on building awareness of different themes related to their wellbeing, safety planning, and deliver key messages on GBV
∎ Provide essential information on available services and support survivors in navigating the referral pathways and accessing services
∎ Lead age-appropriate and specialized group emotional services for adolescent girls through identified or established safe spaces.
∎ Identify concerns related to and support adherence to GBV referral protocols and GBV guiding principles and bring these concerns to the GBV Response Officer.
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including community leaders and other humanitarian partners and service providers.
∎ Document all program and beneficiary's activity in an accurate and timely manner using standardized tools and forms
∎ Complete weekly and monthly activity reports, according to guidance provided by the GBV response Officer other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
∎ Perform all other duties, as needed or requested by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 2-3 years' experience with a minimum of three years' work experience of GBV in emergencies, protection, and gender programing.
∎ Experience & technical skills:
∎ Experience in counselling, social work, women's health, or other related field.
∎ Clear understanding of and interest in the wellbeing of women and girls, and supporting their healing after the experience of violence.
∎ Understanding of case management, psychosocial support and life skills programing to promote survivor healing and recovery.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for survivors.
∎ Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting.
∎ Strong ability to maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, and work in a difficult environment
∎ Practical experience working with refugees, IDPs, women and girls, and implementing programs in vulnerable communities.
∎ Understands the challenges and obstacles women and girls face regarding cultural practices, norms, and society pressures.
∎ Understands sensitivities of conducting awareness on violence related issues.
∎ Emotional maturity and stability to deal with conflict and confrontation in non-violent way and maintain appropriate boundaries.
∎ Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
∎ GBVIMS experience high advantage.
∎ REQUIRED: Fluent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla, Rohingya/Chitagonian. English advantage.
