• Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.

• of modern automobile technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems.

• Proficiency in fleet management software and tracking tools.

• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills to manage vehicle logs and budgets.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with drivers, mechanics, and vendors.

• Up-to-date knowledge of Bangladeshi transport regulations, vehicle safety standards, and environmental requirements.

• A valid driver’s license and experience driving both light and heavy vehicles is preferred.

• Willingness to travel to different locations when needed for vehicle inspections or emergency repairs.

Job Context :

• The position will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the company’s fleet of vehicles under the Transport Management section.

• This role includes conducting regular inspections, managing vehicle records, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automobile engineering and fleet management, contributing to the smooth running of transportation for the group of companies.

Key to Responsibilities :

• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of the company`s vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues.

• Supervise and coordinate the repair and maintenance of the fleet, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles.

• Ensure proper servicing, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire replacements, and manage any major overhauls or repairs.

• Source and verify quality spare parts, tools, and equipment for vehicle repair and maintenance.

• Maintain a detailed log of vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel consumption, and mileage for efficient fleet management.

• Monitor fleet performance using telematics or GPS systems and provide recommendations for vehicle efficiency improvements.

• Track vehicle lifespans and make recommendations for replacements or additions to the fleet based on operational needs.

• Ensure that all vehicles are legally compliant with road safety standards, licensing, and insurance requirements.

• Work closely with drivers to ensure they are aware of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.

• Prepare and manage the annual budget for vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective operations.

• Implement and enforce safety protocols for vehicle operation and maintenance in line with company policies.

• Negotiate contracts and coordinate with external service providers, mechanics, and spare part suppliers.

• Ensure timely procurement of quality vehicle parts and supplies needed for repairs and routine maintenance.

• Build and maintain relationships with authorized service centers, parts suppliers, and insurance companies.
