Responsibilities & Context:

Bashundhara Special Children Foundation (BSCF) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic leader to join our team as Assistant Teacher/ Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured educational and developmental support to children with special needs. The role requires implementing individualized learning strategies, maintaining accurate student progress records, and collaborating with parents, therapists, and school management to ensure students’ academic, behavioural, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver classroom instruction according to the approved curriculum.

  • Prepare and implement effective lesson plans and teaching aids.

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEP) for each student.

  • Assess students’ academic and developmental progress regularly and provide feedback.

  • Identify learning difficulties and provide appropriate intervention and support.

  • Maintain daily observation charts, attendance records, and student progress reports.

  • Encourage communication skills, language development, and social interaction among students.

  • Apply creative and multisensory teaching approaches suitable for children with special needs.

  • Ensure sensory, physical, emotional, and cognitive development through structured activities.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Coordinate with parents, therapists, psychologists, and school management regarding students’ development.

  • Ensure safety, discipline, and proper supervision of students during school hours and activities.

  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.

  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all institutional matters.
