Responsibilities & Context:
Supervision of Finishing Activities
- Assist the finishing manager in planning and overseeing finishing operations including thread trimming, pressing, folding, packing, and labeling.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure garments meet the required finishing quality standards and buyer specifications.
- Monitor finishing quality and assist in resolving defects or non-conformities.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with the finishing team leaders, quality inspectors, and packing personnel.
- Provide training and support to finishing line workers when needed.
Daily Production Monitoring
- Track daily output and efficiency.
- Maintain production records and report progress to the finishing manager or senior management.
Machine and Equipment Handling.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of finishing equipment such as steam irons, presses, folding machines, etc.
- Material & Accessory Management
- Ensure correct accessories (tags, labels, polybags, cartons) are used for each style/order.
- Coordinate with store and merchandiser for timely availability of materials.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure that finishing processes comply with company policies, buyer requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Communication with Other Departments
- Liaise with production, quality control, and shipment departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatch.
Problem Solving
- Assist in identifying bottlenecks and suggest process improvements in the finishing section.
Documentation & Reporting
- Support in maintaining accurate documentation for audits and buyer inspections.
