Education:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, MBA, or a related field.

  • Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Human Resource Management will be given preference.

  • Professional certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:
  • Accomplishing human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; policies and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, counseling and communication programs; planning, monitoring; development, placement, Recruitment & Staffing. Appraising, reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation strategies.

  • Provide technical expertise on HR issues to staff and management. Coach and train operational departments on various aspects of the business from Human Resource perspective.

  • Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.

  • Establishes a succession planning system in which the management can promote internally to fulfill vacant positions

  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.

  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.

  • Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.

  • Monitors and advises employees in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.

  • Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.

  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results for work performance assessment and salary increment.

  • Leads competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.

  • Recommends changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.

  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.

  • Leads strategic Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

  • Responsible for all HR issues related to plant operation and report to HOD.

  • Working closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.

  • Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management by concern of HOD.

  • Undertaking regular salary reviews.

  • Interpreting and advising on employment law.

  • Developing with line managers HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements.

  • Planning, and sometimes delivering, training - including inductions for new staff.

  • Any other task assigned by management.
