• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments Accessories

• At least 05 years of experience in reputed TRIMS or accessories-related machinery (especially Poly, Woven Label, Narrow Fabric, and Offset Printing).

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment (motors, gearboxes, shafts, compressors, generators, CAM systems, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices to reduce machine downtime.

• Practical knowledge in lathe, milling, drilling, welding, and pipefitting (air line & water line).

• Experience in machine installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery.

• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and prepare technical reports.

• Skilled in spare parts requisition, inventory follow-up, and cost-effective maintenance planning.

• Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams (Production, Store, Utility).

• Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Email) for maintenance documentation and reporting.

• Familiarity with safety protocols and industrial maintenance standards.

GMS Trims Ltd. a reputed garments accessories company in Bangladesh is going to recruit "Asst. Engineer (Mechanical)" for Factory Unit located in Sardaganj, Kashimpur, Gazipur.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform any mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving of TRIMS or accessories related machineries ( like woven label, offset printing, poly bag, poly recycle ,Twill tape, Drawstring, Narrow fabric loom, jacquard elastic,, woven elastic,Heat Transfer, PFL,).
• Perform and should be done machine cleaning, servicing daily basis as per preventive maintenance schedule.
• Perform machines installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment including new machines, gearbox, motors, generator, compressor, cam, belt drive etc.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem solving of narrow fabric section’s all machine’s related work like connecting rod changing, shedding lever changing, take off rubber roller changing, main shaft bearing changing, lever changing etc. of Narrow fabric loom or needle loom machine’s related mechanical work.
• Must have sound knowledge on lathe, milling, and drilling, welding, pipefitting of water line and air line etc. related mechanical work.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem solving of Offset section’s all machine’s related works like dampening roller changing, all ink roller bearing changing, roll setting, full machine servicing etc. of 5 color, 4 color and 2 color and single color offset printing machine & cylinder die cutting , hand die cutting machine’s related mechanical work.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem solving of Woven label section’s all machine’s related works like rapier repairing & changing , Drive CAM bearing changing, let- off and take-off gear box changing, M1,M2,M3 toothed belt changing, hook, pulley & upper round belt changing, corundum paper changing, Heater Teflon paper changing, spring tension can check, etc. of woven machine’s related mechanical work.
• Ensure proper service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all machine components including motors, gearboxes, shafts, mechanical CAM systems, and other related mechanical parts.
• Handle and resolve mechanical and utilities-related breakdowns during shifts within short time.
• Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical problems to minimize breakdown time and ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare & submit store requisition and collect essential spare parts for respective machines.
