B.Sc. In Textile Engineering/Apparel Merchandising Or Masters In Any Discipline
Minimum 03 years in a managerial role within product development for garment accessories.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
In-depth understanding of accessory materials, trims, and development workflows.
Advanced communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken).
Strong costing, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.
Proficiency in product documentation, BOM creation, and ERP/PLM systems.
Team player with a collaborative and results-driven attitude.
GMS Trims Ltd. a reputed garments accessories company in Bangladesh is going to recruit "Manager - Product Development (Garment Accessories)" for Factory Unit located in Sardaganj, Kashimpur, Gazipur.
Key Objective:
To lead and manage the complete product development process for garment accessories - transforming buyer concepts into commercially viable, high-quality, and innovative products. The role emphasizes operational excellence, market responsiveness, and effective cross-functional coordination to achieve timely sample delivery and client satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the entire product development cycle - from concept, customer provided files, sampling, testing, and buyer approval to bulk handover.
Identify new product ideas, market trends, buyer insights, and seasonal forecasts into innovative accessory concepts.
Develop and execute product development strategies that align with business goals, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.
Work closely with marketing, design, Planning, ERP, production and Quality teams to ensure products meet all specifications and standards.
Customize product solutions to meet each buyer’s branding, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
Review and finalize product costings, material consumption, and process efficiency.
Ensure each product is commercially competitive without compromising on quality standards.
Oversee pre-development testing, lab approvals, and technical validations for each product.
Maintain up-to-date product data sheets, costing files, BOMs, development timelines, and buyer correspondence.
Analyze development performance metrics and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
Provide actionable insights to enhance product efficiency, buyer satisfaction, and business growth.
Identify potential bottlenecks in the development process and take proactive corrective actions.
Keep up to date with emerging materials, trims, and technology trends within the global accessory market.
