Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist the Cutting Manager in planning and organizing cutting operations for both knit and woven garments.
∎ Supervise and train cutting department staff to ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and productivity targets.
∎ Monitor and maintain cutting equipment, ensuring proper functioning and addressing any maintenance or repair needs.
∎ Coordinate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
∎ Collaborate with the design and development team to optimize marker efficiency and minimize fabric wastage.
∎ Implement and enforce best practices for fabric handling, storage, and utilization to minimize losses and maximize profitability.
∎ Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
∎ Prepare reports and documentation related to cutting activities, including production reports, inventory records, and performance evaluations.
∎ Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and innovations in cutting techniques and equipment to drive continuous improvement.
