Responsibilities & Context:

Trinamul Unnayan Sangstha, a local NGO in Khagrachari, invites applications from permanent residents of the CHT for the following position below, under “Enhancing Marginalised People’s Opportunities With Equity, Rights, Mentorship, and Engagement for Nation-building and Transformation (EMPOWERMENT),” supported by the GFA Consulting Group/FMA and funded by the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF). The key donors are Global Affairs of Canada (GAC) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The Assistant Project Officer will be responsible for:

  • Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities related to gender equality, women’s empowerment, youth engagement, and inclusive governance.

  • Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and community-level advocacy events.

  • Participate in field visits to monitor the progress of ongoing activities and provide necessary support to field staff.

  • Assist in mobilizing local communities and engaging marginalized groups, particularly women and youth, in project activities.

  • Facilitate focus group discussions and consultations with community members to gather feedback and input for project improvements.

  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and documentation.

  • Maintain records of project activities, outputs, and achievements.

  • Contribute to project narrative and financial reports as required by donors and stakeholders.

  • Assist in producing IEC materials and organizing campaigns.

  • Liaise with partner organizations, government bodies, and local CSOs to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Support in coordinating meetings with stakeholders, including project partners and community representatives.
