Job Context:
∎ The primary objective of the project which is under Programme for Emerging Infection is to strengthen Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) activities across different implementing sites, including areas with full HDSS implementations and areas using sampling strategies. In addition, the project will provide technical assistance to other sites such as data collection, data quality, meeting operations, scientific and informatics competencies, and ongoing methodological support for HDSS activities.
∎ Contract Type and duration: Fixed Term; duration will be 02 years with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Assistant Programme Manager reporting to the Deputy Project Coordinator will be mainly responsible for performing following duties and responsibilities:
∎ Assist the Sr. Programme Manager (SPM) for periodical work-plans based on the project plan;
∎ Support to resolve any queries;
∎ Monitor budgets and escalate issues if any;
∎ Assist for reviewing the work-plans periodically and make necessary changes in consultation with the SPM in an effective and efficient manner;
∎ Assist SPM for hiring, contract extension and communication
∎ Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for implementation activities in accordance with compliance guidelines;
∎ Prepare detailed annual/periodic budget/revision as per activity requirement;
∎ Consult with the admin team for smooth budgetary management;
∎ Synchronize implementation plans across sites (local and abroad);
∎ Closely work with SPM and Division Support Coordinator for development of the project and periodic budget;
∎ Track expenses against budget and escalate deviations in order to implement the project in an effective and efficient manner.
∎ Coordinate required services with the project administration for budget tracking, reporting, payment, and invoice as needed.
∎ Work with the finance team for on time reimbursement, payment and reporting.
∎ Work with project staff and the other country sites for travel arrangement and plan;
∎ Consult with program admin in solving the cost reimbursement and payments;
∎ Ensure regular communication with other sites for administrative coordination of activities;
∎ Follow up and provide smooth assistance to the SMP for regular meeting, discussions;
∎ Keep documentation and tracking records of sites communication, reports and documents;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences specially in coordinating and implementing health project of which Minimum 3 years at Project management in international NGOs / research institutes / developmental organizations. Working experiences with project administrative support and implementaiton are preferable.

Salary:
∎ Annual Tk. 13,89,540/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance, and other admissible benefits;

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
