Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Engineer with strong network and systems expertise to manage end-to-end deployment, configuration, and project execution across critical infrastructure platforms. This hybrid role involves hands-on work on enterprise-class routers, switches, servers, firewalls, virtualization, and operating systems, while also driving project-management activities for implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute deployment, staging, and configuration of network, compute, security, and server platforms in data centers and PoPs

• Perform advanced configurations of:

  • Network devices (firewalls, routers, switches) based on approved designs

  • Servers (bare-metal and virtual) running Windows Server and Linux distributions

• Coordinate hardware installation, power & cabling plans, and cross-connect provisioning

• Provision, patch, and harden operating systems; manage Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services

• Deploy and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Maintain implementation logs, configuration backups, server images, and topology diagrams

• Lead project execution from initiation through closure: scheduling, resource alignment, vendor coordination, milestone tracking

• Ensure configuration compliance and change control (aligned with ITIL/ISO procedures)

• Troubleshoot L1/L2/L3 network issues and L1/L2 system problems; interface with internal teams and external vendors

• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk) for both network and server infrastructure

• Provide post-deployment implementation and acceptance documentation to operations teams

  Required Technical Proficiency

  • Firewalls: Palo Alto Networks (Panorama & NGFW), Cisco ASA

  • Routing & Switching: Juniper, Cisco, Mellanox, Supermicro, Niagara

  • Servers & Compute: Supermicro, Dell, HP

  • Virtualization & Containers: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes

  • Operating Systems: Red Hat/CentOS, Ubuntu/Debian, Windows Server

  • Directory Services & Networking: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP

  • Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform (a plus)

  • Monitoring & Logging: Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, ELK stack

  • Tools: CLI proficiency across platforms; familiarity with ITIL-aligned change control
