Responsibilities & Context:
  • Work under the supervisor's guidance to understand the company culture, products, and systems.
  • Review customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with their requirements.
  • Follow up with vendors, train them on the company's systems, and ensure they adhere to customer SOPs.
  • Collect and submit bookings through the system, following up with customers to obtain instructions.
  • Coordinate with customers' nominated carriers to make necessary bookings.
  • Prepare shipment load plans and submit them to customers for approval.
  • Communicate customers' shipment instructions to the CFS (Container Freight Station) operations team.
  • Monitor CFS receiving status and confirm loading of customer-approved Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Track shipment schedules with carriers and share updates with vendors.
  • Collect Shipping Instructions (SI) from shippers, verify and submit them to the respective carriers.
  • Obtain Bill of Lading (BL) drafts from carriers, share with vendors for confirmation.
  • Update the system with actual cargo loading details for customs review.
  • Gather necessary documents from vendors and forward them to Destination Transport Logistics (DTL).
  • Release the BL to vendors and arrange for BL surrender with the carrier if required.
  • Update the system with any amendments made by carriers to the shipping schedule.
  • Maintain timely communication with vendors, customers, CFS operations team, and carriers, proactively addressing any issues.
  • Seek guidance from supervisors, corporate colleagues, and other logistics service vendors (LCSVs) as needed.
  • Adhere to company compliance standards and maintain discipline as per main office policies.
