Experience:
Strong knowledge of vehicle fleet management and transport operations.
Sound understanding of BRTA regulations and statutory compliance.
Excellent planning, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management capability.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
Experience with GPS-based fleet monitoring systems will be an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Manage and oversee the company's entire transport and fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation services.
Plan, allocate, and monitor vehicles for corporate office, sales, and business operational requirements.
Supervise transport personnel including drivers and transport support staff while ensuring discipline, attendance, and performance.
Ensure timely renewal and compliance of all vehicle-related documents including registration, fitness certificate, route permit, tax token, insurance, and BRTA requirements.
Monitor preventive maintenance, servicing schedules, repairs, breakdown management, and vehicle utilization.
Control transport operating costs including fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, tolls, and vendor payments through proper analysis and reporting.
Maintain transport MIS, vehicle movement records, fuel consumption reports, GPS monitoring, and monthly performance dashboards.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, Procurement, SCM, Sales, and other departments to provide uninterrupted transportation support.
Develop and implement transport policies, SOPs, safety standards, and operational controls.
Liaise with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, workshops, and transport service providers whenever required.
Investigate transport-related incidents, accidents, and operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for fleet optimization, operational efficiency, and cost reduction through continuous improvement initiatives.
