• Strong knowledge of garment cutting operations.

• Knowledge of CAD marker planning and marker efficiency.

• Fabric consumption analysis.

• Pattern and technical specification interpretation.

• Production planning and manpower management.

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Problem-solving and decision-making.

• Leadership and team management.MS Excel, ERP systems, and production reporting.

• Assist the Cutting Manager in planning and executing daily cutting operations according to the production plan.

• Ensure accurate interpretation of markers, lay plans, and cutting specifications.

• Monitor fabric spreading, relaxation, marker placement, and cutting processes to ensure technical accuracy.

• Ensure correct bundle numbering, shade segregation, and size-wise bundling.

• Coordinate with IE, CAD, Planning, Sewing, and Quality departments for smooth production flow.

• Minimize cutting rejections, fabric defects, and quality issues.

• Monitor fabric consumption against buyer standards.

• Optimize marker efficiency and minimize fabric wastage.

• Analyze fabric loss reports and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure maximum marker utilization through coordination with the CAD team

• Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure proper functioning of cutting machines.

• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules.

• Ensure proper utilization of straight knife, band knife, round knife, automatic cutting machines, and spreading machines

• Prepare daily cutting production reports.

• Monitor KPIs such as:

  • Fabric Utilization (%)

  • Marker Efficiency (%)

  • Cutting Accuracy

  • Re-cut Percentage

  • Fabric Wastage

  • Productivity

  • On-Time Delivery
