Experience:

• At least 5 years

Master’s or higher in Environmental Science / Engineering, OHS, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Sweater Industry

• Age At least 30 years

• Minimum 5 years in industrial E&S (Environment & Social Compliance) management (Sweater/RMG/textiles preferred)

• Hands-on experience with World Bank ESS or IFC Performance Standards on a financed project is preferred.

• DoE clearance processes (IEE/EIA), environmental monitoring program design.

• Construction-phase E&S monitoring and contractor oversight.Grievance handling and community engagement.

Skills:

Report writing in English to international standard

Fluent Bangla and English

Strong record-keeping, data analysis and document control discipline

Training/certification:

• ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 lead auditor (Required)

• Higg FEM / FSLM (Required)

• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent (Preferred)

• GHG Protocol inventory (Preferred)

Role

Establish and run ASL's Environmental & Social Management System and deliver the company's E&S goals and obligations as per defined customer requirement and legal frame. Reports to GM Operations, with direct access to senior management on compliance matters.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and implement the ESMS — policies, procedures, risk and legal registers, monitoring protocols, internal audit

• Maintain regulatory compliance and permits (DoE, WARPO, DIFE); no lapsed clearances

• Run environmental monitoring — air, noise, water, effluent, waste — with calibrated equipment

• Lead OHS, emergency preparedness, drills and incident reporting

• Operate the grievance mechanism, stakeholder engagement and community liaison

• Oversee contractor and supplier E&S performance

• Prepare quarterly E&S reports for the lender and act as counterpart to lender and auditors
