The Assistant Manager in the Wood Purchase department is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of quality wood materials.
Identify and negotiate with wood suppliers to secure quality materials at competitive prices
Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly
Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid production delays or overstocking
Coordinate with the production team to forecast wood requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
Evaluate and onboard new vendors based on quality, reliability, and compliance
Ensure procurement processes adhere to legal and sustainability requirements
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and delivery schedules
Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
