Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee all activities of the planning function relevant to the manufacturing location to ensure maximum capacity utilisation at the set performance level.
  • Provide guidance and make timely decisions to resolve disruptions in the planning processes whilst coordinating with relevant teams ensuring manufacturing plans are feasible and aligned to customer and organisational objectives.
  • Attend relevant meetings to identify, attract necessary solutions and provide feedback/ information to ensure all stakeholders are aligned to optimize capacity
  • Morning meetings, supplier meetings, new style loading, plant reviews, department meeting and etc.
  • Foresee medium/ long term view on plant capacity in order to ensure a smooth order flow while addressing/ resolving any potential resource gaps and communicate/ obtain ‘buy-in’ for same from relevant stakeholders
  • Medium term- forecasting cycle/ within a given year. Long term- budgeting and Long-Range Plan (LRP) .
  • Regularly create/maintain/review reports on SAP, planning tool, forecasting tool to ensure utilization of information thereby drive effective decisions for short/ medium and long-term capacity utilization.
  • Demonstrate effective people management skills, so as to motivate the team, identify performance gaps and develop skills required to meet current and future challenges.
  • Compliance Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group/company polices & procedures, best practices (where the group/company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.
