In-depth knowledge of ship propulsion systems, new shipbuilding processes, and marine equipment sales.
Strong ability to understand customer requirements and develop effective technical and commercial solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and consultative sales skills with a proactive approach to business development.
Proficient in conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer meetings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits, site inspections, and field activities (approximately 70% field-based work).
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other digital tools for preparing documentation, reports, presentations, quotations, and client proposals (approximately 30% office-based work).
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer focus.
The incumbent shall perform any other duties and responsibilities reasonably associated with the position as assigned by management from time to time.
Generate business inquiries, conduct technical meetings with stakeholders, negotiate prices, secure sales, ensure timely delivery, and hand over products in accordance with contractual agreements.
Coordinate with the Service Department and other relevant teams to ensure the successful execution and completion of projects.
Provide comprehensive pre-sales and after-sales technical and engineering support to customers.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Supply Chain Management (SCM), Service, Finance, and Stores, to ensure effective teamwork and seamless operations.
Maintain regular communication with principals to obtain updated product, technical, and commercial information.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships to achieve repeat business.
Conduct market research and identify opportunities for continuous business growth and development.
Build and maintain strong professional networks with key stakeholders and organizations within the marine industry.
Develop strategic business plans and sales strategies for projects to achieve organizational objectives.
Monitor competitors' activities, market trends, and business strategies to identify opportunities and potential risks.
Prepare and submit timely reports to the Head of Department (HOD) and line manager while maintaining accurate records of all relevant data and documentation.
