Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
∎ Define and implement the overall strategy for the assigned product category to drive growth, sales, and market share.
∎ Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity.
∎ Use this information to optimize the product assortment and pricing strategy.
∎ Choose the right mix of products, work closely with suppliers or manufacturers, and manage the product life cycle from selection to discontinuation.
∎ Set pricing strategies and develop promotional campaigns to ensure the category is competitive and appealing to customers.
∎ Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of strategies and meet business goals.
∎ Analyze the financial performance of the category, review sales reports, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes as necessary.
∎ Forecast product demand using historical data and market trends, coordinate with internal stakeholders on inventory needs.
∎ Monitor supplier chain performance, generate reports, and stay updated on industry trends to improve efficiency.
∎ Develop and execute strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives to drive cost-efficiency and process improvement initiatives
∎ Ensure the demand planning based on category wise Fast moving product, customer demanded product, short supply products, seasonal products & space management.
∎ Product Assortment based on space management & Merchandising as per each outlet.
∎ Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
∎ Develop a joint business plan (JBP) with vendors for the improvement of Sales and Profit.
∎ Ensure stores adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and licensing requirements.
