Responsibilities & Context:
Inspections and Audit: Regularly checking of work environments, tools and equipment for compliance with safety standards.
Hazard Identification: Identifies potential dangers, such as toxic fumes, faulty machinery or improper safety equipment usage.
Accident Investigation: Investigate accidents or near-misses, interview personnel and determine causes to prevent future occurrences.
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure adherence to local, state and federal regulations.
Documentation and Reporting: Document findings, write detailed safety reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and incidents.
Risk Mitigation: Block off unsafe areas, remove hazardous items and initiate corrective or preventative measures.
Monitoring: Monitor work at height, excavation, electrical work, and confined spaces for compliance with safety standards.
Emergency Safety Management: Ensure emergency preparedness, including fire safety, first aid availability, and evacuation procedures.
Training & Advisory: Advice Management and employees on safety procedures, conduct safety meetings and provide training.
