Responsibilities & Context:
Safety & Compliance: Inspecting sites to eliminate hazards, enforcing safety regulations and ensuring compliance with building codes.
Site Management: Directing daily work activities, scheduling subcontractors and managing on-site logistics.
Materials & Equipment Management: Checking material deliveries for quantity and quality, ensuring proper storage and handling of materials, monitoring use of tools, machinery and reporting material shortages or equipment breakdowns.
Personnel Supervision: Leading, training and instructing construction workers, including monitoring attendance and performance.
Resource & Quality Control: Ordering building supplies, inspecting materials and ensuring work meets quality standards.
Schedule & Cost Control Support: Maintaining the project schedule and minimizing waste and unnecessary cost.
Reporting & Liaison: Maintaining site logs, reporting progress to project managers and attending meetings with clients/stakeholders.
