Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of electrical systems and equipment.
∎ Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery and control systems.
∎ Ensure timely response to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
∎ Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
∎ Maintain records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with standards.
∎ Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment.
∎ Recommend and implement system upgrades to improve efficiency and performance.
∎ Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
∎ Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments for electrical installations.
∎ Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and incident reports.
∎ Provide regular updates to the senior engineer/manager on equipment status and maintenance plans.
∎ Collaborate with other engineering teams to resolve multidisciplinary issues.
∎ Train and guide junior technicians in electrical maintenance practices.
∎ The Assistant Engineer (Electrical Maintenance) is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in the facility. This role requires technical expertise in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability.
