Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain maximum boiler efficiency by adjusting, reading and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.
∎ Maintain oil heaters, pumps, oil storage facilities, and oil unloading equipment.
∎ Operate steam plant either natural gas or oil.
∎ Observe boiler plant operations through the use of electronic or pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices observes pressure, temperature, and draft meters on panel to verify specified operation of automatic combustion control systems, boiler water regulators, stoker, pulverizer, and burners.
∎ Turn/pull valves and adjust the controller to set specified fuel, water level, and steam pressure of the boiler.
∎ Observe boiler and secondary unit to detect faults and makes repair such as changing burners and tightening pipes and fittings.
∎ Test and treat boiler water by using specified chemicals.
∎ Maintain a log of meter and gauge/meter readings and record data such as water test results and quantity of fuel consumed.
∎ Keep safety and boiler operators will observe the operating system during operation and attend to any additional problems.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ 1st Class Boiler Operator License.
∎ Sound Knowledge on water test parameter.
