Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum qualification B.Sc. in Agriculture.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Having knowledge about the cultivation of all local and varieties of herbs/vegetables/fruits, integrated pest and disease management and integrated nutrient management.
∎ Knowledge about vegetables, medicinal herbs/ plants cultivation especially mushroom, carrot, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, papaya, Beet, Rosella, Moringa, Pomegranate etc. cultivation and post-harvest technology.
∎ Knowledge about drip irrigation.
∎ Must have knowledge about organic crop production, Bio-fertilizers and Bio-pesticides.
∎ Must have knowledge about seasonal vegetables/flowers.
∎ Have knowledge about seedlings in the nursery, grafting etc.
∎ Motivate, sensitize and train the farmers for organic crop production, preservation and processing.
∎ Develop and deliver organized or hand-on training packages for the youth farmers and women farmers.
∎ Provide regular technical supports to the farmers for successful organic crop production, preservation and processing.
∎ Execute technical management of nursery, organize variety wise production of quality saplings as production plan approved by the management and ensure optimum utilization of land.
∎ Examine plants for diseases, insects, wildlife damage, and weeds to protect the health of the vegetables/ plants.
∎ Supervise the staff and labor; look after their productivity, welfare and administrative issues.
∎ Take measures to control the production cost of the nursery and ensure optimum utilization of overhead cost.
∎ Prepare report timely as and when necessary.
∎ Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experiences in Horticulture for 1-2 years will be preferred.
∎ Male candidate will be preferred.
∎ Computer knowledge of MS Office and Excel
∎ Competent in business communication in English.
