∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ As an Android System Engineer, you will be part of a team that is responsible for customizing, building, testing and releasing a custom Android operating system starting with the source code available from the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
∎ A strong candidate is:
∎ Experienced in systems programming in C, C++ and/or Rust
∎ Proficient in data structures and algorithms
∎ Skilled in build, debug and test
∎ Familiar with Android AOSP, ADB and Android frameworks
∎ Familiar with software building processes and tools in Linux
∎ Familiar with computer networking fundamentals including DHCP, DNS, VPN and Proxies.
∎ Knowledgeable in operating system fundamentals such as schedulers, process, IPC, kernel, drives etc.
∎ Experienced in Test-Driven Development, Git, CI /CD.
∎ You will be preferred if you have:
∎ Flashed/installed custom ROM in android phones
∎ Compiled/build full Android from source
∎ Experience building Linux kernel or any other Linux software from source
∎ Familiar with Linux command-line tools and build tools
∎ Contributed to open-source projects
Job Responsibilities:
∎ As an Android System Engineer, you will be responsible for:
∎ Developing, building and testing a customized Android operating system from source.
∎ Software performance, quality, and responsiveness
∎ Product roadmap, planning, and experimentation
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 33 years

∎ A natural problem solver and able to devise solutions from within a constrained environment
∎ Self-motivated and is able to work individually with minimal guideline
