Job Context:
∎ PORTWEST, Ireland a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of an Accounts Officer (Accounts Payable) to be based in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 4600 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130 countries. We design, manufacture, and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.
∎ OFFICE TIME: 2.00pm to 10.00pm (follow the office time of Ireland)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Process accounts payable Invoices on ERP.
∎ Liaise with other functions on AP/Purchasing issues; drive towards resolution
∎ Creditor Reconciliations
∎ Reconcile AP/Purchasing at month end.
∎ Participate in month end process as required
∎ Ad hoc tasks as required to support Finance Function.
∎ Back up for other colleagues where necessary
∎ Work closely with Irish Finance teams
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent oral and written communication in English is must
∎ A minimum of three years of responsible accounting experience.
∎ A broad knowledge of accounting and financial control principles and their business applications
∎ Flexibility - willingness to help other colleagues to meet deadlines
∎ Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team
∎ Multi-national experience is an advantage
∎ Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.
∎ Strong Microsoft office skills, especially excel
