∎ Diploma in Medical Technology/ Diploma in Biomedical Engineering

Job Context:
∎ The X-ray technician is a member of the IRC health team and will be responsible for taking X-ray, labelling Films, cleaning, and sterilizing equipment, and using computers to record and study experiment results.
∎ Work Location: Camp-11, Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar
∎ Contract length: Till 31 August 2022 (with possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
∎ Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, joints, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
∎ Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions.
∎ Positioning patient, accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
∎ Limiting patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
∎ Ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.
∎ Working closely with the resident Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.
∎ Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly maintained and in good working order.
∎ Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
∎ Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.
∎ Looking after equipment stocks and ordering replacements when needed.
∎ Cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
∎ Oversees X-ray requisition preparation for outpatients.
∎ Maintaining optimum temperature for room.
∎ Reports to work as scheduled.
∎ Reporting to supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year working experience
∎ Previously working with any local or International NGO.
∎ Practical skills
∎ Written skills to produce reports
∎ Computer skills to record and analyze information from tests and experiments
∎ Teamwork skills
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ People who are familiars with local culture and local dialects will get preference.

Salary: Tk. 47250 (Monthly)

∎ Two retention benefits in a year equivalent to two basic salaries
