Job Context:

∎ Contract length: Up to April 30, 2020 (with possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technical Quality
∎
∎ Ensure that all programming adheres to a women-, girl- and survivor-centered and feminist approach and that staff are supported to build and strengthen their practice in this area;
∎ In collaboration with the WPE Senior Manager and WPE Coordinator, lead the setting up and running of an Integrated Women's Center for the delivery of services for women and girls;
∎ Provide technical support to the case management and psychosocial support (PSS) team, ensuring they adhere to international standards and GBV guiding principles when working with women and girl survivors of male violence, through overseeing and strengthening the case management and PSS service provision;
∎ Provide management support to the team in setting up and running women and girl centered safe space activities and services - including consultation with women and girls for planning, scheduling, and content development; and ensure they are facilitating psychosocial activities that include: supporting women and girls in building social networks, accessing information and engaging in recreational activities;
∎ Provide management support to the team in setting up and running emergency mobile WPE services and activities, ensuring that mobile team adhere to women-, girl- and survivor-centered approaches and mobile service delivery guidance;
∎ Ensure that all facilities have safe and confidential access to essential life-saving services (i.e.: clinical management of rape);
∎ Ensure the WPE team are using the functional, feminist/survivor centered referral pathways and conducting safe, confidential and appropriate referrals in line with best practice;
∎ Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management is implemented for appropriate data analysis, planning, evaluation, and advocacy.
∎ Staff Supervision & Development
∎
∎ Maintain open, supportive, and professional relationships with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing management support and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform their roles;
∎ Directly supervise the WPE Officers and provide technical supervision to mobile protection Officers;
∎ Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probation reviews, appraisals and annual performance reviews; and provide regular constructive feedback to develop their practice;
∎ Assist with the recruitment of WPE staff;
∎ Ensure training and ongoing capacity building opportunities for staff on technical and project management skills;
∎ Ensure regular communication and close collaboration with the WPE Coordinator.
∎ Grant Planning, Monitoring and Reporting
∎
∎ Work closely and coordinate with IRC Operations, Finance and Grant departments to ensure compliance with grant requirements;
∎ Develop and maintain effective and efficient technical support, quality control and reporting;
∎ Ensure regular field supportive monitoring of activities;
∎ Monitor and consolidate information collected from weekly and staff activity reports, case management supervision records and skill assessment tools, and monthly reports;
∎ Ensure high-quality IRC and donor reports on activities, indicators and achievements;
∎ Coordination & Representation
∎
∎ Actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors.
∎ Other duties and responsibilities
∎
∎ Contribute to the development of the WPE program strategic direction;
∎ Coordinate with other IRC sectors (i.e., child protection, health) to provide relevant input and support enhancing the protection and empowerment of women and girls;
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 or more years' experience in GBV programming for women and girls - essential;
∎ Experience in VAWG programming or GBV at a senior level with a specific focus on women and girls, and in directly supporting women and girl survivors of male violence, such as counselling survivors of violence and implementing activities for women and girls or proven engagement in women's rights/groups;
∎ Clear understanding of the impact and dynamics of men's violence against women and girls, and a strong interest in working on women and girls' protection and empowerment;
∎ Demonstrated commitment to women's empowerment and protection through current or previous volunteer or paid work;
∎ Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients
∎ Knowledge and experience with community outreach and mobilization
∎ Experience facilitating trainings and workshops and mentoring others
∎ Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting
∎ Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail;
∎ Excellent communication, listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with survivors of all ages, background and diversity
∎ Strengths in listening, empathy, flexibility, and creativity;
∎ Familiarity with principles of monitoring and evaluation. Experience in writing brief narrative reports.
∎ Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
∎ Essential - Good working knowledge of language spoken by population in need, plus English language
