Job Context:
∎ The Women & Girls Support Officer will lead on all the WPE activities and support to women & girls in one health facility run by a partner organization. They will be the direct focal point from woman & girls accessing that health facility, provide information on meaningful services in the health facility and other quality services for women and girls in the location, and support available to women and girls, promote and provide safe, discrete and confidential access to/from the GBV and health services via the internal referral procedures in the health facility, safely refer women and girl GBV survivors to external case management services, and provide immediate emotional support and psychological first aid where needed. They will report to a WPE Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Always adhere to and dedicatedly promote the women-, girl- and survivor-centered support approach, and the GBV guiding principles;
∎ Conduct, prepare, and plan and coordinate group activities with women and adolescent girls in the designated space in the health facility in collaboration with health facility staff/focal point, with a focus on community mapping and group information sessions to provide multiple forum for sharing information of services available;
∎ Conduct service mapping, including quality assessment, of services available for women and girls in the area in order to provide accurate information and improve access to essential services for women and girls;
∎ Share with the women and girls information regarding the services available in the health facility (with a focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health- SRH- services) and relevant services in the area for women and girls (women's safe spaces, MHPSS, GBV case management, nutrition, etc);
∎ Provide Psychosocial First Aid as and when required;
∎ Know, understand and use the formal GBV referral pathway; and -
∎ Work in close, daily collaboration with health team to ensure women and girls have safe, discrete and confidential access to/from the GBV and health services via the internal referral procedures;
∎ Safely, confidentially, in-line with standard methodologies, track all internal & external referrals conducted;
∎ Support the WPE Manager with providing GBV and WPE training and mentoring to:
∎ health facility staff on safe, appropriate and confidential referrals, survivor-centered support and other relevant aspects of GBV and WPE practice;
∎ health facility community outreach teams on available services and safe, appropriate and confidential referrals and other relevant areas;
∎ Assist with dignity kit or other material assistance distributions and appropriate messaging;
∎ Consult with women & adolescent girls in the health facility to identify their needs, interests and priorities, and working with the WPE Manager, identify ways to respond directly within the scope of this role or advocate to other actors;
∎ Support with the identification and referral of adolescent girls to specialized girls' programming (Girl Shine), with support from the WPE Manager.
∎ Community Outreach
∎ Build positive, productive, trusting connections with adolescent girls and women and their communities, ensuring to maintain professional boundaries and humanitarian ethics at all times;
∎ Collaborating with health facility outreach team, conduct community outreach and engagement activities in a safe and appropriate way to:
∎ Inform women and girls about available services and how to access them, and material support available in accordance with their needs;
∎ promote external quality services such as safe spaces and how to access them
∎ conduct information activities on GBV and its health consequences, and listen to women and girls on barriers to accessing services with activities, for female only groups
∎ Other duties and responsibilities
∎ Ensure supplies/resources for program activities are available and requested on a timely manner and are efficiently utilized;
∎ Maintain positive and productive collaboration, coordination and relationships with the health facility team, and external partners and other sectors;
∎ All other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

∎ Experience in community engagement and outreach;Clear understanding of and interest in the well-being of women and girls;
∎ Understanding of the impact and dynamics of male violence against women & girls, and a strong interest in working on women & girls protection and empowerment;
∎ Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to balance pressure well;
∎ Strong communication and facilitation skills;
∎ Ability to keep records and write simple and basic reports of activities would be an added advantage;
∎ Excellent listening and observation skills, including ability to build trust, support, respect and interact with survivors of all ages, background and diversity;
∎ Language spoken and understood by population in need (Chittagong and/or Rohingya) - essential; Working knowledge of English - preferable, not essential;
∎ Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect in the Centers at all times is needed.
∎ Candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear and genuine willingness to work and learn quickly and be committed to developing professionally in the field of GBV and SHR, in particular - supporting women & girls protection, empowerment and health - essential;
Salary: Tk. 47250 (Monthly)
