Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in industrial welfare or compliance.
- Social audit facing capacity is mandatory (BSCI, SEDEX, CTPAT, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law & Labour Rules.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
Responsibilities & Context: - Ensure proper welfare facilities such as medical, canteen, pure drinking water, sanitation, rest
- rooms, and childcare facilities.
- Provide personal counseling and guidance to workers in case of grievances, disputes, or personal
- difficulties.
- Maintain regular communication with workers to build trust and resolve issues proactively.
- Compliance & Legal
- Ensure strict compliance with Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (Amended) and Labour Rules 2015.
- Maintain liaison with labor inspectors, government officials, NGOs, and other welfare-related bodies.
- Prepare and maintain all statutory welfare registers, reports, and documentation.
Social Audit & Buyer Engagement
- Act as focal person during local and international social compliance audits.
- Ensure factory practices, records, and welfare facilities are audit-ready at all times.
- Coordinate with HR & Compliance teams to prepare Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and ensure proper implementation.
- Worker–Management Communication
- Organize and facilitate Worker Participation Committee (WPC) meetings and prepare minutes.
- Act as a communication bridge between workers and management, ensuring transparency.
- Promote awareness among workers about their legal rights, company policies, and welfare schemes.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct awareness programs on workplace safety, grievance mechanisms, and company rules.
- Arrange training sessions on compliance, rights & responsibilities, and health & hygiene.
- Guide new workers during orientation programs regarding welfare facilities and policies.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Monitor occupational health, safety, and workplace hygiene.
- Actively support fire drills, first aid training, and emergency evacuation programs.
- Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and follow up until corrective action is taken.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of grievances, resolutions, welfare services, and worker benefits.
- Submit monthly welfare activity reports to HR & Compliance Department.
- Prepare welfare-related reports for audits, inspections, and management reviews.
Other Duties
- Assist management in CSR initiatives, cultural programs, and worker engagement activities.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in welfare and compliance standards.
- Perform any other welfare-related tasks assigned by management.
