About the Brand

Tale of Bengal is a contemporary fashion label rooted in the craft and material culture of Bangladesh. The brand focuses on structured tailoring, controlled craftsmanship, and elevated modern silhouettes. We work closely with artisan units and small manufacturers to develop thoughtful, material-led garments.

We are currently preparing for our first collection launch and are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Sourcing & Production Coordinator to support sampling and bulk production.

Role Overview

This role will oversee sampling development, supplier coordination, and production follow-through to ensure garments meet quality, timeline, and construction standards.

The ideal candidate is structured, communicative, and calm under pressure, with experience working across both artisan and factory environments.

You will be required to work with the brand founder, who is based overseas.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate sampling across multiple suppliers and artisan units
• Source fabrics and trims in line with brand quality standards
• Negotiate and document supplier rates transparently
• Manage development rounds and revisions
• Supervise construction details and finishes
• Conduct physical visits to factories and artisan workshops
• Ensure alignment between sampling and future production standards
• Provide structured weekly progress updates with images
• Implement QC oversight with documented checklists
• Monitor production timelines and flag risks early

Required Experience

• 2+ years experience in garment production or buying house
• Strong understanding of construction, finishing, and quality control
• Experience working with cotton twill, denim, woven fabrics
• Familiarity with embroidery and artisan-based production
• Strong negotiation and supplier communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret tech packs accurately
