• 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Designer or Garment Technician (fashion/apparel)
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fit
• Experience creating and managing tech packs for woven garments
• Familiarity with natural fabrics (cotton, linen, denim, wool)
• Knowledge of embroidery and hand-crafted techniques
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or technical CAD software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

The Role

We are seeking a Technical Fashion Designer to work closely with the Founder and Creative Director to translate design concepts into technically sound, production-ready garments.

Role Overview

The Technical Fashion Designer will be responsible for developing accurate technical specifications, managing garment fit and construction, and supporting the sampling-to-production process across apparel categories including ready-to-wear and unisex styles.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with pattern makers and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical packs including:
• Measurements and grading specifications
• Construction details and sewing instructions
• Stitch types, seam finishes, and tolerances
• Fabric, trim, and hardware specifications
• Develop and refine fit standards for women’s, men’s, and unisex garments
• Review and comment on samples and fit prototypes, providing clear, actionable feedback
• Liaise with pattern makers and manufacturers to resolve construction and fit issues
• Ensure designs are production-feasible while maintaining design intent and craftsmanship
• Support the transition from design to bulk production
• Maintain organized records of specifications, revisions, and approvals
