Job Context:
∎ Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is the leading Swiss NGO focusing on child rights. It is active in more than 30 countries with development and emergency projects. Tdh focuses its action on the two following areas of intervention: health and protection of particularly vulnerable children. Modern management and communication tools ensure the quality of Tdh`s projects. The Foundation constantly aims to improve its services. Following the massive displacement of more than 688,000 people into Bangladesh since end of August 2017, Tdh has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on nutrition, health, WASH and protection.
∎ WASH Infrastructure Assistant will support WASH Infrastructure Officer to implement the infrastructural and desludging activities in the project location in Teknaf base.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Create work plan that prioritizes repair and desludging based on urgency
∎ Carry out assessment directly according to schedule and specifications at project areas
∎ Conduct FSM plant repairs and desludging activity timely with the maintain good quality
∎ Supervise the all daily worker's & desludging volunteers work
∎ Prepare the draft BoQs, technical drawing as per need basis
∎ Assist to prepare tender documents for request for quotations if required
∎ Check the quality of ongoing works and vendor supplied materials
∎ Collect and preserve qualitative and quantitative data from camp & host communities
∎ Update the line manager timely on existing situation and what types of repair needed at FSM plant
∎ Support the line manager at field level, other sector actor and the beneficiaries
∎ Train the newly hired desludging volunteers with the guidance of WASH Infrastructure Officer;
∎ Strong capacity to manage several teams Daily Worker (DW), Desludging volunteers etc.
∎ Supervise and monitor all implemented/implementing hardware works and ensure the works advance according to timeline and works specifications;
∎ Ensure that the contractor safeguards the safety of his labors and the community
∎ Constructed hardware more sustainability purpose regular coordinate with the community mobilizer and others WASH project staffs at field.
∎ Ability to accept new responsibilities or tasks if asked by the line manager

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Local language & English skill will be preferable
∎ Strong facilitation, analytical, negotiation, coordination, communications, and different types tema management skills
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates who have experience on WASH and FSM in Rohingya response project
∎ Sound knowledge on rural/WASH Infrastructure
∎ Survey, Data Collection, IT Knowledge
∎ Hard working

∎ Intelligent, Promptness
∎ Ability and willingness to work in team
∎ Experience of community conflict management
∎ Experience of working in multi-cultural environments an advantage

Salary: Tk. 28000 (Monthly)
